Engaged by Foodstuffs, Maltbys provided full QS services on the Newlands New World project. A supermarket with undercover basement carpark on a prominent corner site it was completed in 2012 with a construction value of $9.5m.
One of the first new developments in the area known as the ‘Tank Farm’ on Auckland’s waterfront. The development comprises two new buildings with a total floor area of 1351m2, together with the upgrade of the existing Heritage Cargo Shed building which sits between them. The new buildings house pub and restaurant tenancies as part of a new vibrant Jellicoe Street upgrade with links back across to the Viaduct Harbour. Construction cost $6.9m. Completed in May 2011.
Modernisation, extension and alterations to existing New World Supermarket. Staged to enable operations to continue throughout the construction period, it was completed in 2011 with a construction cost of $6.5m.
